Description
The study evaluated the effectiveness of GOLDIC, a PRP analogue gold-induced serum therapy, in treating knee osteoarthritis over a 5-year period. Using KOOS, VAS score, and MRI documentation, 28 patients (31 knees) underwent treatment at four-week intervals. Results showed significant improvement in VAS scores and slowed osteoarthritis progression on MRI. Two patients required knee replacement. The study suggests GOLDIC as a promising treatment for knee conditions, but calls for further research, including randomized controlled trials and AI-supported image processing for analysis.
