Description
The goat is a promising orthopaedic model, as its increased prevalence in the literature over the past decade has shown. Despite this added presence, there remains comparatively little information describing the appropriate use of the animal in the research setting. Therefore, the present study 1) consolidates available information within the literature and 2) provides technical notes of its own to create a comprehensive and reproducible guideline for the selection, care, and use of the caprine model for in vivo orthopaedic research
