The distance between the lateral meniscus and tibial tunnel in ACL Rec

Description

In the present study, the distance between the anterior horn of the lateral meniscus (AHLM) and the tibial tunnel in patients who underwent anterior cruciate ligament reconstruction by remnant preservation technique was evaluated. MRI images were used to evaluate. While performing this technique, the centre positioning of the tibial tunnel guide pin in the remnant was meticulously performed. This study showed that although the distance between the tibial tunnel and the AHLM is very close in the remnant preservation technique, the AHLM injury can be avoided if the tibial tunnel is opened close to the centre of the ACL remnant.
