Discoid lateral meniscus(DLM) is an anatomic variant relatively common in the Asian population, and the incidence has been reported to be more than 10% in Republic of Korea and japan. Many previous studies about arthroscopic partial meniscectomy report mostly favorable results. However, some studies report post operative residual meniscus faces degeneration earlier. To analyze the efficacy of the arthroscopic surgery, MRI taken 6 months post-operation and thereafter(average morthan 3yrs) were used to compare the remaining meniscus in term of width, thickness, and condition, as well as the state of the cartilage
