Description
Augmentation and structural bone graft for large bone defects over 10mm in revision TKA increase medical cost, further bone cutting, prolonged operation time and infection rate. Cement is inexpensive, reliable, reproducible, and an easily performed method for small bone defects.
This study evaluates a surgical technique that involves cement filling for large tibial bone defects with sufficient stem length and fixation during revision TKA. A minimum radiologic follow-up of2 years was done to determine whether this technique can be a considerable surgical option.
