Description
Objectives
- To determine MOWHTO survival rate defined as conversion to arthroplasty, obtained from the Australian Orthopaedic Association National Joint Replacement Registry (AOANJRR)
- To evaluate retrospectively demographic factors, surgical findings, post operative complications and pre-postoperative radiological data as risk factors for conversion.
Conclusions
- Our data support that MOWHTO is a reliable procedure with good clinical outcomes
- MOWHTO survivorship can be affected by patient selection and surgical factors.
Improved survival could be achieved in younger patients with less chondral wear and
avoiding overcorrecting HKA and excessively valgus MPTA
