Would you like to organise an ESSKA ALL about Surgical-Skills course in your country?


Any ESSKA Teacher can use the below guidance to apply for ESSKA Endorsement:

  • Benefits for organising an ESSKA ALL about Course (upon approval) ➤
    1. ESSKA sends one Teacher for the ALL about Course on-site at its expense
    2. One dedicated direct emailing of ALL ESSKA courses to the whole ESSKA community every quarter
    3. Dedicated promotion of ALL about courses in ESSKA’s educational newsletter (every two weeks)
    4. One dedicated social media post
    5. Guidance in preparing the social media post
    6. Branding guidance provided
    7. List the course on ESSKA’s website & as ‘Recommended’ - before applying for ESSKA’s Certification programme

  • To qualify for ESSKA Endorsement, the course should follow the below instructions ➤

     

    Format and Programme

    • Each course should cover an specialty topic for a duration of 1.5 days.
      The course can also take place a day before an external congress/course. However, it should follow the course programme guidelines below.
    • The course should follow the “ALL about …” format. Ex: ALL about ACL, ALL about Rotator Cuff, etc. and cover topics from ESSKA’s Core Curriculum.
    • The course programme should have:
      * lab time - 75%
      *recommended number of participants per cadaver: 2

     

    Course Chair & Faculty

    The Course Chair should be an ESSKA Teacher (in good standing).

    • The Course Chair is responsible to assign the course faculty
    • The faculty should consist of at least 2 ESSKA Teachers. ESSKA can recommend Teachers.
    • Other faculty are recommended to become ESSKA Members.
    • There should be 1 faculty for every 4 participants.
    • Each faculty is responsible for 2 stations (2 participants per station)

     

    Course Organisation

    The complete course organisation should be done by a local Professional Course Organiser (PCO)/local organising Institution, and led by the ESSKA Member submitting the application.

    • What does ESSKA teacher in good standing mean?

      The ESSKA teacher should be a paid ESSKA member at the time of applying.

    • Can an endorsed ESSKA Course receive patronage from other Societies? 

      Yes, an ESSKA endorsed course can receive patronage from other Societies
