Description
Knowledge about the patients experiences of living with patellar instability, and how this affects daily life activities, is scarce. Consequently, there is need for a deepened understanding of how patellar instability affects patients` lives and how they manage to live with the condition.
Participants reported that the instability had major impacts on their everyday life, affecting ability to participate in social life and physical activities both before and after surgery. The increased fear, awareness and adaptive behaviour may imply that an increased attention towards cognitive interventions might be useful in the management of patellar instability
