Correlation Between Anatomic Landmarks and Bony Trough Position in Lat

Description

When a surgeon prepares the bony keyhole in lateral MAT, the lateral tibial spine is used as a landmark to determine where to place the bony keyhole. However, the direction of the lateral tibial spine is not coincident with the line connecting the centers of both horns of the lateral meniscus. Moreover, determining the rotational axis of the bony trough during the operation is difficult.

There is a paucity of literature reporting anatomic landmarks that can aid rotational alignment of the graft during lateral MAT. The purpose of this study was to investigate the associations between anatomic landmarks and the position of the bony trough to prevent extrusion of the lateral MAT.
