Description
Artificial intelligence (AI) has made significant progress in recent years and is poised to transform healthcare and medical education. While AI is already being utilised in orthopaedics in some cases, integration of AI into this field is still nascent. Thus, attitudes and expertise of the next generation of orthopaedic surgeons are central in defining the way this novel technology will shape the orthopaedic profession. The purpose of this study was to evaluate attitude and expertise of aspiring orthopaedic and trauma surgeons on AI, examining the impact of gender, AI knowledge, and technical aptitude on attitudes towards AI, and assessing if recent AI advancements affect career choices.
