Description
Objectives
Anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) rupture is a common injury in activities that involve jump or abrupt change of direction. The anterior cruciate ligament reconstruction surgery is one of the most common procedures in Sports Medicine. Graft re-rupture can occur in rates reported from 2.8 to 19.3% of cases. The outcomes of ACL revision (ACL-Rev) surgery are poorer, with a higher failure rate. The addition of an Anterolateral Extra-articular Plasty (ALEAP) has been shown to decrease the failure rate in specific patient groups in primary ACL reconstruction surgery.
The objective of the present study is to present a cohort of non athlete patients with ACL-Rev surgery and compare the clinical outcomes of 2 groups: isolated ACL-Rev vs ACL-Rev with ALEAP
