PATIENT ACCEPTABLE SYMPTOM STATE OF PATIENT REPORTED OUTCOMES

Description

The study synthesizes and critically appraises Patient Acceptable Symptom State (PASS) of the most frequently used shoulder patient-reported outcomes (PROs). Out of 1036 records, 15 studies met the inclusion criteria, providing a comprehensive assessment of PASS for 7 disease or joint-specific PROs. Most studies used ROC analysis method to calculate PASS, with most determining PASS values after surgical approaches. The study concludes that a state-attainment criterion, such as PASS, should be favored above study population, follow-up time, disease type, treatments, and patient demographics.
