Prevalence and Associating Factors of Sound after TKA

Description

One of the unsolved problems of total knee arthroplasty (TKA) is the occurrence of postoperative sound or crepitus from the knee. Some patients express their concerns about a sound or rattling sensation around the knee after TKA.

The purposes of this study are

1) to investigate the prevalence of sounds around the knee over time after primary TKA;

2) to identify factors influencing postoperative sound; and

3) to assess whether sound after TKA affects clinical outcomes.
